Do you remember when you were 18? If you are reading this and you’re not 18 I’m beyond jealous, enjoy the days ahead! When I think about my life at 18 (let’s just say it wasn’t yesterday), I cannot believe how foolish I was. When I think of the time of my life when I created the most physical and emotional scars, it was in that time period. It’s not ALL bad. I made some great memories in those years…GREAT memories. Yet I wish someone would have handed me a book like the one I just read before those critical years. It might have changed the trajectory of my decisions and ultimately….life.
What I Wish I Knew at 18 by Dennis Trittin is a true gem. I can’t begin to express what a great book this is. Using 109 Success Pointers, Dennis Trittin walks the reader through a road map of life instructions that are critical to the road ahead. I can only imagine what my life would have looked like had a taken the time to read a book like this prior to my late teens and early 20′s. Here’s a little bit about the author:

Now retired from managing over $30 billion in assets, he devotes his life to promoting leadership and life management on a global basis. It’s hard to believe that in a few short months we will be celebrating high school and college graduations again. I highly recommend this book as a gift to those you know that might be graduating. They may not read it immediately, but you can know that you gave them a resource that they WILL use at some point. Excellent book. Even though I am no longer in my teens, even I will refer to this book often.
