10-4-393Now that “Black Friday” is over, the turkey has been consumed and most of us are getting ready to light up our Christmas trees, I thought it might be a good time to drop this review. A few weeks ago I received a copy of the book “The War on Christmas” by Bodie Hodge. To be honest, I wasn’t 100% sure what to think when I quickly thumbed through it and looked at all of the pictures. Then I actually sat down and read it and I’m so glad I did. First, let me give you some background on its author, Bodie Hodge.

Bodie Hodge has been a writer, speaker, and researcher for Answers in Genesis since 2003. He writes and speaks on a host of topics including The Fall of Satan and The Tower of Babel. He is passionate about providing biblical answers to believers, seekers, and non-believers.

Now that we know the author, let’s take a quick look at what you’ll find in the book. What I found reading through “The War on Christmas” was one of the most exhaustive, scripturally based, grace filled explanations of all things Christmas. The book will take you through some of the most obvious facts, to some of the lesser known facts and even into many of the most popular questions around this holiday. The artwork is stunning, and Bodie Hodge covers a lot of territory in a very small amount of book.

I highly recommend “The War on Christmas” as we head into this season. You’ll be glad you had a chance to pause and review some of the history but most importantly, THE reason that we celebrate this season.

I give “The War on Christmas” a 5 out of 5.
